Serving Her Community

Abbi’s approach to community service is rooted in action. As a devoted mother and small business owner, she still finds time to serve on the Executive of the New Hamburg Board of Trade and support her children’s school as secretary of the parent council. Her commitment to Wilmot shows up in countless ways, including volunteering to help plan the annual Wilmot Township Canada Day celebration.
Her community involvement extends far beyond committees and events. Abbi actively supports the Wilmot Family Resource Centre, volunteering in the food bank during the pandemic, serving meals at the annual Poor Boys Lunch, and pitching in on other Resource Centre initiatives that strengthen local families. She also donates her time to WALDA – Wilmot Area Life Donation Awareness – helping raise awareness about the life‑changing impact of organ donation.

Service has long been part of Abbi’s life. She spent several years as a La Leche League leader, supporting new mothers through one of life’s most transformative chapters, and she previously volunteered as a Strong Start teacher, helping young children build foundational literacy skills.

Whether she’s organizing community celebrations, supporting local families, mentoring parents, or championing causes close to her heart, Abbi’s generosity and drive make her a trusted and valued presence in the Wilmot community.
For Abbi, giving back isn’t an extracurricular – it’s part of who she is.
